See what was used before the ink-jet printer. The flat bed pen plotter was used to make engineering and architectural drawings of all kinds and here there will be an 8 pen plotter linked to a modern laptop to produce geometrical art.

Mechanical Computing – adding two numbers together in a week without transistors but using magnets, springs and ball bearings.
Will be bringing a number of differently themed Minigolf courses including a Crystal maze and minecraft
Cycle Pong – the classic Atari Game – Pong – played with exercise bikes…
A team of graduates from a local company will be presenting different kits and activities for families to have a go at.
Bookbinding – watch a demonstration of traditional bookbinding and perhaps try your hand at making a small notebook
Challenging and beautiful books on show that bridge the trade edition and the artists’ book. A pamphlet binding tutorial will also be on offer.
National Museum of Computing
The National Museum of Computing is dedicated to showing the development of computing in its broadest sense from pioneering war time efforts to the products we use today. There will be various working computer systems on show as well as BASIC programming that anyone can learn with a little guidance.
