We had a blast at the 6th Derby Mini Maker Faire at the weekend (Saturday 28 October 2017).
A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along and enjoyed the day with us. Thank you to all the Makers, visitors, volunteers, sponsors, staff and the Maker Faire community for making it a great day!

Just over 70 Makers took part in the day, including the Astronaut’s Caravan, balloon popping fighting robots, the world’s smallest photo booth, paper rockets, wearable technology and even a Giant Inflated Tentacle, plus loads more!

The Faire was also a hit with our visitors, as we welcomed 2000 of you to the Silk Mill. Take a look at the highlights from the event.

Next year, the Silk Mill redevelopment project continues and the building will be closed for public activities in order for the works to take place. Derby Museums are planning to hold Derby Maker Faire in the future, but this is still to be defined. If you’d like to find out more about this and to be kept up to date with news, please email
